Well its been a really long while since ive posted on my blogs but during the excellent two weeks i was able to complete the the remaining hours i had i would do 8 hour days starting at 7am and ending at 3 it was really enjoyable and on thursday mornings i worked with my mentor michelle thursday mornings haha waking up at a crazy 530 and going with her to bus stops gas stations and just whereever surprisingly people would be that early in the morning. I also was able to work regularly on sundays with another person whos regular on sundays after our christain meetings and do either door to door work or return visits on interested ones that we met earlier that week continuing that interest. I was really happy i was able to incorporate this project with my organization because i have to get 70hrs a month anyways :) so just sliding this for to it was really simple i did this with ease. Something that i am really happy that happened during this project was i was able to meet two new young guys who were interested one named jordan hes about 10 and the other julio hes 17 i have bible study with them regularly each week and they enjoy what they're learning each time i come. It makes me feel happy that im able to help them learn the truth about the bible and help change their lives so they know the true meaning and what hope for the future we believe will happen in the bible. So in the last post i had 16hrs and i went out everyday Mon-Fri 7-3 which gave me way more than i needed for this project 51 but i needed 70 so i finished the rest that i needed with my organization. The whole overall goal of our organization is to meet people who are interested start bible studies with them and bring them into our organization and have them learn the tr

Today was a good day off from school and i was able to work with my mentor michelle we did 2hours of door to door work it was an enjoyable time for me i was able to share something encouraging with my neighbors but i didnt get to post the last time i went out and did 3 hours so i'll just combine todays post with it which brings my 5 hours added to a total of 16 hours of volunteering :) and my work is the same for every post and how it t

Well this post is late but its better than me not posting it at all i was out last Wednesday with my friend josiah and we did 3hrs doing a few things first we met up and did some door to door work in his neighborhood for a while then we spent the rest of the time writing letters to those we couldnt get in contact with at their homes. The work tied into the larger goals because like ive stated in the last few posts we're seeking those who desire to learn the truth from gods word and then using other methods to reach people. So with the 3hrs i did today it brings me to a total of 14hrs

Today was a fun day out my mentor Michelle went out of town for the week but i've been keeping her up to date with what i've been doing. Today i just did some door to door work( which is going to different peoples houses a sharing some encouraging messages with them by use of the bible. I worked with a buddy of mines named pj we didnt get a chance to talk to alot of people most weren't home or probably just didnt want to come to the door haha. After i met up with a friend named jordan we did a study with this really cool guy he had a ruff life style before but he really wants to clean up his life so we stayed with him and ended up talking for an hour it was a really great discussion i hope he keeps up with what we shared with him and continues to make improvements in his life. The work i did ties into the overall goal of the organization because we were out seeking those honest of heart who were interested in what we had to share with them and giving them good news about the near future. my hour count is 11 and i did 2 hours today

It was a good day for me today i did an hour and a half with a good friend named David we met up with a regular study we have with a young guy named manny it was pretty awesome discussion he's progressing really well each week he's getting sharper and sharper in his knowledge of the bible and he's saying he enjoys it when we visit with him. It really gets me pumped just knowing we're helping make a difference in his life and that he's enjoying it as well. The work ties into the larger goal of the organization because we're seeking out honest hearted individuals like him and helping him draw closer to God and giving him a better hope for the near future. Which brings my current hour count of 10 to 11

Well today was a bit rainy so to keep dry we did another form of our ministry. Letter writing :) we usually do this avenue if people have locked gates, dogs, in the yards, or if its an apartment complex and we're not allowed to enter the building so we did that. Later on in the day we made a return visit on a bible study we have with a young man named manuel he's 17 too it was a brief study because he made plans to do stuff with his family but other than that it was pretty good. This ties into the overall goals of the organization by us just taking extra efforts to reach people despite the circumstances no matter what, because our goal is to just share these truths with others giving them a hope for the near future. I was out for 2hrs today with a total of 10. i had a total of 8 and added two more hours next post

Well here it goes my first post even though i've been doing the hours with organization i've been lagging with the posts so i'll be consistant with them from here on out but as of right now i have 8 hours total. Everytime i'm out it will ususally start off early doing street witnessing which would be driving to wherever people would be if we couldn't catch them home , bus stops, laudrey mats, and etc. For the most part besides just getting out having conversations with sincere people who are willing to listen to what we have to share with them makes it all the more enjoyable. Hopefully this evening i'll get together with a friend of mines and we're going to have a bible study with these two younger guys named anthony and ezekiel so if that happens tonight i'll be posting what happens with it so i'll see but if not look out for a new post this weekend :)

Well as i posted previously about my choice i'm pretty sure i'm going to stick with working with my church, i was able to talk to one of the women in my congregation would be willing to be my mentor shes out alot so it will make things pretty easy and im used to it already the only difference is now i'll be blogging my experiences about it and having a mentor. for my schedule i'll try to do alot in the mornings and in the evenings but as time comes i'll have a better system of things.

My congressman is Bob Filner he represents the 51st District. For his stance on immigration is that he's fighting for an effective, and efficient U.S./Mexico border, for education he says that he is deeply committed to provide a quality education for each child in the nation. For our tax dollars he feels that our money would be better spent if we invested it in our education systems here at home, and developing reusable energy and building a first class transportation systems. Bob Filner wants to strengthen our social security and make it work better for its beneficiaries, lastly with funding for programs he recognizes the importance of science, technology engineering and manth education to equip our next generation of leaders and innovators. This is why he supports legislation that gets qualified STEM teachers and curriculum in classrooms.

For my senior year volunteership the organization that i'm going to be working with is with my religious organization Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm already involved with volunteer work for them sharing encouraging news with neighbors for 70 hours a month helping them to find a hope and purpose for life and help give them an inner peace in their life. So the work i'd be doing is the same i pretty much explained it, i'll be out in my community sharing encouraging   thoughts with them from the bible.
